Performance and Comfort

Reviewers of the Husqvarna 350BT backpack blower raved about its power. With 692 CFM air volume and 180 MPH wind speeds, this blower has plenty of power to move piles of wet leaves, small twigs, sweetgum balls, and even clean out debris from gutters. With a purge primer, the blower starts easy every time. The integrated harness and hip belt evenly distribute the weight of the blower, which is a big plus for extended use jobs.

The shoulder straps are padded and ventilated which makes longer jobs much more tolerable.

With the large fuel tank users typically got 2-3 hours of use before having to fill up again. As most people will use this blower for larger jobs/yards, the cruise control is a nice added feature that takes a lot of strain off of your hands. The throttle control on the blower tube  provides a great amount of air control for various jobs.

The throttle and cruise control on the blower tube are a nice feature.

Minor Issues We Noticed

At idle speed the 350 BT tends to have a lot of vibration, but at full speed, vibration is greatly reduced and barely noticeable. The included manual is not very detailed which can make assembly of the tubes onto the blower more difficult. The blower tubes are somewhat tight fitting, but a dab of liquid soap on each end before assembly makes them much easier to go together.

The Good

  • Powerful 2.1 HP engine easily moves difficult debris
  • Starts easily
  • The backpack harness distributes the weight well causing less strain
  • Large fuel tank for little to no re-filling
  • Cruise control

The Bad

  • Lots of vibration at idle speed
  • Instruction manual can be hard to follow

Bottom Line

The Husqvarna 350BT is very powerful, and blows away (pun intended) handheld blowers when it comes to the large heavy duty jobs. Features such as the cruise control, large fuel tank, and integrated harness make it a good choice for both large residential and commercial tasks. Minor faults like the increased vibration at idle speed and a somewhat difficult blower pipe installation don’t significantly take away from the overall solid performance of this unit.
